Sharon Kay, writer, poet, artist ,minister, marketing specialist, mother and grandmother, grew up near Freeland on a little farm. Valedictorian of Freeland High School in 1963, she went on to study education, mathematics, English and home economics at Central Michigan University and earned her B.S. in 1967. After teaching high school mathematics for a year and a half, she left teaching to birth and raise three children with her husband, Dennis Warren. They now five grandsons: Mason, Dylan, Randy, Ian and Preston.

She has worked as a volunteer for political campaigns of Senator Donald Riegle (ret.) and other U.S. Senators as well as a Michigan gubernatorial candidate. For seven years she assisted the Lone Tree Council, a Michigan environmental group in halting the construction of a nuclear power plant in her town. She has worked in the fields of teaching, advertising, sales, insurance, college admissions, and publishing.

In 1991, poems began coming to her in the middle of the night shortly after meeting her beloved Twin-Soul in Oregon. She secretly recorded thirty-six poems in her journals over a nine-month period. By 1993 she had self-published her first book, ONE LIGHT ONE LOVE, a beautiful hand-bound, hard-back gift book of inspirational poetry. This unique edition is adorned with calligraphy, created by her friend and art teacher, Elsie Petrequin-Noble, who now resides in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge northeast of Portland, Oregon with her beloved Dan.

Near the end of 1993, she collaborated with an acoustic guitarist, Michael McCabe of Vancouver, WA and produced her first CD, ONE LIGHT ONE LOVE, Vol. I in only fifteen days. The album has put numerous autistic children to sleep.

In 1995 she self-published her next two books, LONG LONG AGO and ANGEL FINGERPRINTS. ANGEL FINGERPRINTS has sold over 24,000 copies and is in its fourth printing, now published and distributed by Sourcebooks, Inc. Both books have served hospice patients, families and hospice workers around the country since 1996.

Sharon has written three children's books, two more poetry books and one spiritual fiction, A MOTHER'S JOURNEY: To Release Sorrow and Reap Joy published by Dandelion Books, Inc.

Sharon has appeared on radio and television in the Pacific Northwest and Arizona sharing her poetry and inspiration.

Sharon is an ordained minister and a Reiki Healer. Her declared mission and life purpose is: "Dedicated to creating paths of communication which heal hearts through the power of love around the world."

Sharon changed her name in January 1999 dropping both her birth surname of Smith and her former husband's surname of Warren to maintain a vibration in harmony with her Original Soul Print vibration - 8.

Sharon credits her "spiritual awakening" to her spiritual mentors, both seen and "Unseen": Dr. Wayne Dyer, Richard Bach, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, Esther and Jerry Hicks and Rev. Mary Morrissey. Also, Archangel Uriel, Ascended Master Paul - The Venetian, Kryon, Abraham, Blue Feather, Golden Eagle and a host of other Angels and Spirit Guides.

Sharon has served as Regional Manager for Income Builders International, Inc. a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, human-potential-growth organization. She has also served as a Marketing Consultant working with LionHearted Publishing in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and Director of Sales and Marketing for NEXUS publishing in Boulder, Colorado.

Currently she creates one-of-a-kind bead art, some of which are available at IMAGINE THAT!, a local artists’ co-op located in Midland, MI. Other pieces will appear in her new book, A BEAD ARTISTS’ JOURNEY.   She also continues her hobbies of photography, watercolor and listening to music while caring for her aging mother and two golden retrievers, Lexie and Sami. She loves meeting new people, networking and helping others do their dreams... for she is doing hers.
